This is what this blog is about....partly.

I love the website Pintrest. They have the most crafty and just creative things on there! A lot of pictures are gonna be from pintrest most likely. But I think this is awesome.

I got really excited when I saw this. Must make this winter when there's enough snow!

And these are some other pictures I found that I squee about:

When this scene happened in the New Girl I freaked and squeed. (I'm a girl can you tell?).

Graphics like this one makes me believe that not every girl thinks Bella is awesome.

This is just funny.

Who doesn't love Joss? Seriously?

MIND FREAKING BLOWN. Didn't even realize.

As you can tell I'm still trying to find my voice for this blog. But you know what? It's my blog. and If I'm all over the place, isn't that my choice? Besides, being able to post these graphics/pictures and having other people like the same things or even just smile at something I post, that's what I started this for. That's what I'm trying to give myself an outlet for.

Mind Blown

Now if I blink the picture changes from one to the other.

Doggie Cosplay!

I can't decided if I feel sorry for these dogs or if I think it's awesome.

I love these two:

What is this one supposed to be?

I am not the type to dress my dog up. The most he gets is a coat like thing in the summer that keeps him cool. (It's made of the same stuff that keeps horses cool in the summer supposedly) but if I could get him to keep that dragon costume, oh yeah my black and white dog would be a red dragon for Halloween.

So many books, so little time

So tonight I went to a book store. Never a good idea. Actually it's always a good idea. Just not for my wallet. I went for a specific book but decided that book was just a little overwhelming. So while waiting for my mom I started browsing. This is where the trouble starts.
I love information. I collect books even if I don't read them for years I love having them. So when I see something about a topic that intrests me I want to learn as much as I can about it. Such as the Romanovs, the British monarchy from Victorian times and before, and interesting people. So in the biography section(which is right next to the world history section) when I see a book on Charles Dickens and one about Cleopatra and one about a girl who had little relationship with her father then at 81 he hands her a stack of letters he wrote to his parents while he was fighting in WWII my brain says want! My wallet says um...eh what the hell.
Did I get those? Nope. The only one I seriously contemplated was the WWII letter one but decided that it wouldn't be the best idea. So I picked up Ronald Dahl's bio (he wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I'm curious to see what was going on in that brain of his), a biography of a prision librarian (a profession I contemplated/am contemplating....the librarian part, not the prison part....although.....) and a book explaining what aspects of Harry Potter coinside with real British history. Comparing Hogwarts to British boarding schools. I saw that and got really excited(geek out anyone?) It's just like....I need this. My brain needs this information. I can't wait to read them!

Also, Grimm starts tonight. Can't wait.

Real Life Friends

This is the kind of stuff I love. Today Eddie McClintock of Warehouse 13 posted this picture of him and Colin Ferguson from Eureka hanging out. I know they're both in Australia for a con and probably doing something network related, but I love when people who act are actually friends. Like Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. Or Jewel Staite and Sean Maher. Gareth David Lloyd and James Marsters. It just makes me happy inside that these people are friends in real life. Plus if they are on the same show and have to do a panel at a con together, or just an interview, it makes it that much better. (such as Nathan Fillion calling anyone from the Firefly cast doing a panel....in the middle of the panel)

My newest discovery is the Nerdist podcast. I'm coming pretty late to the game, but it's just so freaking entertaining! And I love when Wil Wheaton is on because he and Chris Hardwick (the host) have been friends since they were 17 so it's like they're just hanging out and just happen to be recording it.

I just like when people are like, these are my friends. I enjoy doing things with them. Even after our show is off the air.

First post! Woot! And the start of my non funny titles.

So after Much Ado About Nothing was announced via Twitter by Nathan Fillion and Sean Maher and a few other Whendonverse twitter accounts I follow at something like 11pm on a Sunday night I squeed. I squeed a lot. I retweeted. I commented. I was happy. Then I was stuck. Most of my friends (I said most Jordo.) have no intrest or not to the amount that I think of how awesome this is going to be. Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Sean Maher, NATHAN FRAKING FILLION(not that I don't get to watch him weekly on Castle or anything) paired, once again with Joss Whedon (do we not remember how AWESOME Dr Horrible is? and they filmed it without anyone in the industry knowing? MIND BLOWING)  At least not the friends I feel comfortable texting at 11pm on a Sunday night. Then last night I was at Barnes and Noble (I still go to book stores and freaking love it, how novel.) and a friend picked up a Torchwood book and just handed it to me, no words, just handed it to me. I grinned and did a happy dance in my head and she just shook her head with a smile.

So this is my place to completely geek out because I'm not always with friends who understand why I get excited about the new Torchwood episode or the fact there are TWO shows about fairy tales this season on TV (Grimm which starts October 28, this Friday, which includes writers from Buffy, Angel and X-Files, and Once Upon a Time who has Jane Espenson who wrote for Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Torchwood: Miracle Day AND Gilmore Girls AND co-created Warehouse 13, among others, in other words, the woman who's career I would love to have.) To post things I find intresting or fun or just squee worthy. Rumors, book and comic reviews, movie and game announcements, my experiences at cons. My background is in English Lit and I love to write so this is also an outlet for that(my creative-ness isn't always following me to the end of a story I write)
Things I typically geek out about:
-Doctor Who
-Torchwood (two seperate things. Yes I have been to Gallifrey One the almost completely Dr Who Con in LA. I live in Jersey. I've watched Dr. Who with my brother since 1989. I was 4. That's commitment.)
-New books
-Cool tech
-World of Warcraft expansions
-Warehouse 13
-Eureka
-Almost anything in the Whendonverse.
-Music
-Castle
-Comics
-New stuff.
-Totally unrelated things I can't think of at the moment.
-Felicia Day
-Wil Wheaton
-Fun college courses (such as Russian History 1901-1921 and The History of Children's Literature)

So this is my place to geek out and I hope you join me.

Enjoy.

Can I also say I think this is my first every completely public blog? Weird.
